Sup guys, I was bored and decided to try my hand at machine translating a webnovel. For those guys who somehow found this site….. How the hell did you do it? Anyways for those of you who bothered to check this status page, please leave a comment if you found any of the sentences weird and post what you think it should be. I kinda just make up sentences from what I see from all those floating japanese words in my head.
4/16/2015 I’m so tired and my eyes are starting to go…..maybe I should take a break from translating..
4/8/2015 Yay my copies of Kenja no Deshi wo Nanoru Kenja have arrived! Time to see those pretty pictures and squiggles. Dunno if ill upload the images. (I have no idea how to do that unless maybe a camera?)
Anyways I am basically just translating it for myself to read.
Interesting facts to note:
It took me 8 hours to do the prologue.
It took me 6 hours to do Chapter 1.
It took me 9 hours to do Chapter 2.
It took me 10 hours to do Chapter 3.
It took me 12 hours to do Chapter 4.
It took me 16 hours to do Chapter 5.
It took me 18 hours to do Chapter 6.
It took me 8 hours to do Chapter 7.
It took me 7 hours to do Chapter 8.
It took me 13 hours to do Chapter 9.
It took me 18 hours to do Chapter 10.
It took me 8 hours to do Chapter 11.
It took me 7 hours to do Chapter 12.
It took me over a week to do Chapter 13.
It took us 2 – 3 days (1/2 day translating rest editing) to do Chapter 14
It took us 2 – 3 days (1/2 day translating rest editing) to do Chapter 15
It took us 2 – 3 days (1/2 day translating rest editing) to do Chapter 16

If you want to upolad the images, you can find links of the published volumes in internet, including images

You could always try to scan the book for images.
If you have a smartphone there are apps that makes scanning possible from your phone. Scanner Pro for iphone as example.

Dunno, I thought that Eagle would be continuing his own version of the translation. In terms of speed I guess? 1 – 2 chapters a week or more if I don’t have anything more important to do…

Holy shit a translation for this novel?! Fucking awesome!! Ever since I read Estelion’s teaser I’ve been wanting for more.
Finding a site like yours is like finding a random gold mine lol!
Do you mind if I tell others about this place or do you like to keep a low profile?
As for how I stumbled upon it… I was browsing the Light novels reddit when I saw a discussion on this novel’s 12th chapter. I was like “Wait what, chapter 12? I don’t recall anyone translating this. Maybe they are discussing RAWs?” But I had to know for sure. Lo and behold a darkfish was then revealed to me.
That being said, thanks fit the translations! I know what I’ll being doing for the rest of the night haha.

Collaborate translation. I had read this WN up to ch97 and coulda re-read and make draft translation if you want. My English is bad but Japanese should be better than machine translation.

to the above wouldnt it be better for x3al to do part translation and darkfish to finish for instance split the chapter in half and each do that or one go a couple of chapter ahead and start there

How long are you taking now to tranlate the chapters? I’m trying to translate the first chapters of a webnovel and want to know if I can expect to increase in speed after some time.
Also thank you for the translation. I also read the lightnovel translation and on chapter 12 they already had different scenes. I hope you continue to translate the webnovel.
